    I would only add half as much of the sugar the next time I make these biscuits and I would add some of the cheese on top so it could get all crispy & fried.

    I will miss local month, and I feel like it would be a nice project to revisit… I’d like to visit all the local dairies and cattle ranches… there just wasn’t enough time to do so this month.

  3. Twice Cooked Pork

    Most of the time, when I think of the word ‘bacon’ I think of what is actually, twice cooked cured pork belly. Most of our bacon sold in commercial settings is actually been cooked, or hot smoked… and then sliced and ready for you to cook again in your frying pan.

    Yum.

    Maybe I’ll try candied twice cooked pork belly? it worked with the ice cream.

  7. Whole Wheat Pasta

    2 cups whole wheat flour
    2 eggs
    2 pinches salt
    2 Tablespoons Water

    2 delicious to not eat it all.

    pizza dough
    10 oz water
    1 lb. flour
    1 T salt
    1 tsp sugar
    2 1/4 tsp yeast

    combine in a food processor, and mix until dough forms. put in an oiled boil, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour at room temp, then into the fridge for at least 8 hours. Bring to room temp before baking on a hot pizza stone.
